About Discflow

Is DISC a personality test?

Partly, and the distinction matters. DISC measures behavior — the outward, observable expression of the internal drives usually grouped as personality — so it does describe aspects of personality. What it does not do is assign a fixed inner type. Behavior is the layer other people actually experience, and the layer someone can adapt, which is why it is the useful one for development. Discflow measures that layer alongside Emotional Intelligence, which is how well someone reads a situation and adjusts.

What are the four DISC styles?

Dominance, Influence, Steadiness and Compliance — Compliance is called Conscientiousness in some DISC models, and the two names describe the same style. Discflow measures eight styles in total: the four primary styles plus four blended styles (DI, IS, SC and CD), placed on a circumplex.

What is Discflow?

Discflow is a behavioral assessment that measures DISC behavioral style and Emotional Intelligence in one integrated report, with coaching guidance written for each profile. It is used for development — leadership, coaching, team effectiveness and organizational development.

How is this different from other DISC tools?

DISC describes how someone behaves, and the established tools do that well. Discflow measures Emotional Intelligence in the same sitting and writes it into the same report, so you also see how well someone adapts their style. FlowConnect then carries the guidance past the debrief. Emotional Intelligence isn't a separate product you add on — it's in the standard report. We do not claim to be the first or only instrument to combine the two; the difference we claim is structural.

Who is behind Discflow?

Discflow is built by Flow Labs Consultancy FZCO. Discflow® is a registered trademark of Flow Labs Consultancy FZCO. FlowConnect, FlowHub and Flow360 are product names.

The reports

How many reports are there, and which should I choose?

Seven. Core 2.0 is the flagship and where most people start. Portrait 2.0 is DISC only, for volume. Leader 2.0, Sales 2.0 and Group 2.0 are built for specific situations, Fit 2.0 supports interviews and onboarding, and Flow360 is multi-rater. The assessments page routes by situation rather than by product.

How long does the assessment take?

It is untimed. Most people complete it in 10 to 20 minutes, in a single sitting. Core 2.0, Portrait 2.0, Leader 2.0, Sales 2.0 and Fit 2.0 all use the same questionnaire; Group 2.0 is built from the individual profiles of a team, and Flow360 adds a rater questionnaire for managers, peers and direct reports.

Can I see a report before buying?

Yes. The opening pages of all seven sample reports are open to read on the page, and the complete report unlocks when you leave your name and email.

What languages are available?

Reports are available in multiple languages, using the same instrument and the same model throughout, so a multinational rollout produces results that can be read side by side.

FlowConnect

What is FlowConnect, and which reports include it?

FlowConnect is coaching guidance written for each behavioral profile, reached through the FlowHub platform whenever it is needed. Most of it is written in advance; there is also Flo, a conversation for going deeper, working from the same profile. It is included at no extra cost with Portrait 2.0, Core 2.0, Leader 2.0 and Sales 2.0.

Why isn't it included with Group 2.0, Fit 2.0 or Flow360?

FlowConnect is written for an individual behavioral profile, so it ships with the individual reports. Where a team is also running Core 2.0 or Portrait 2.0 — which is the usual way a team buys — every member has FlowConnect through that report.

Is FlowConnect an AI chatbot?

Partly. Most of it is a library of guidance written and reviewed in advance for each profile. Flo, the conversation layer, works from the person's own profile and that same library rather than reasoning about them from scratch.

Buying

How much does Discflow cost?

We don't publish our rates on the site. There is a fixed rate card with volume discount bands — pricing isn't invented per customer — but a single published figure would be wrong for most buyers, because the rate steps down with volume and certification is delivered regionally. Tell us the shape of what you're planning and we'll come back with the rates that apply to you within one business day.

How does buying Discflow work?

You buy tokens and spend them on reports. Reports cost between 5 and 25 tokens depending on which one. Organizations are priced per person against the rate card, and can buy as they go or set up an annual arrangement. Certified Trainers open an account and buy tokens at their own pace.

What is a token?

The unit you spend to generate one report. You buy a balance and draw it down. Different reports cost different numbers of tokens, the rate per token improves with volume, and tokens don't expire.

Is there a minimum order or a subscription?

No. No subscription, no annual license, no minimum commitment, and no per-seat licensing. The FlowHub platform comes with the reports and nothing renews.

Do you support purchase orders and procurement?

Yes. Purchase orders, supplier onboarding and procurement requirements are all supported, and annual arrangements are available where that suits your budgeting better.

Certification

Do I need to be certified to use Discflow in my organization?

No. Anyone can buy and use the reports, and we support rollouts with facilitation guides, debrief structures and workshop materials. Certification is strongly recommended for anyone using Discflow in coaching, facilitation, leadership or organizational development work, to support responsible interpretation and a consistent experience.

Can I get certified to deliver Discflow to my own clients?

Yes. The Certified Trainer course runs as three 4-hour live sessions with preparation and applied work around them. You finish with the full report suite, five ready-to-run four-hour workshops, facilitation materials and a FlowHub account.

Do I set my own fees as a Certified Trainer?

Yes. We sell you the reports; what you charge for your work is entirely yours to decide. We also do not offer lead flow — HQ sells directly to corporate clients and does not route that work to Certified Trainers.

What is a Master Trainer?

The senior credential. Master Trainers can certify other people as Certified Trainers, deliver certification inside client organizations, and deliver the twelve-month programs. It runs over six months at around 7 to 8 hours a month.

Can a Certified Trainer certify other people?

No. Certified Trainers are authorized to train and support end users within their organization or professional practice. Certification does not authorize anyone to certify other trainers or deliver official Discflow certification programs — that is what Master Trainer is for.

We already use another DISC tool. Do we start again?

No. Most of what a credentialed practitioner knows carries over unchanged, and we do not argue that other instruments are poor.

Workshops and programs

Can you design a workshop around our specific issue?

Yes — that is how our in-house workshops work. Half-day and one-day sessions designed with you around a specific situation: conflict that keeps returning, trust after a difficult period, communication breaking down between teams, difficult conversations managers avoid.

What is a twelve-month program, and who delivers it?

A twelve-month development journey built around measured behavior change rather than a single event, with a behavioral baseline at the start and a re-measurement at the end against KPIs agreed with the sponsor. Delivered by Master Trainers. Launching 2027, open for registration.

What is the difference between a workshop and a program?

A workshop is a day. A program is a year. A well-designed day will shift how a team talks to each other; it will not on its own produce behavior change you can evidence twelve months later. Most people start with a workshop, and that is the right order.

5 questions

Evidence and data

Is DISC scientifically validated?

DISC-based instruments have a substantial research literature behind them, and quality varies considerably by instrument. For Discflow 2.0 specifically: internal consistency across DISC scales runs from .73 to .87, Emotional Intelligence sub-domains from .76 to .86, and test-retest reliability across a four to six week interval from .72 to .86. Confirmatory factor analysis supports both the eight-style DISC structure and the hierarchical EI framework. Norms are provisional and parts of the validity program are still open — we publish that too.

Can we use Discflow for hiring or promotion decisions?

No. Discflow 2.0 is a developmental and reflective instrument. It is not designed for clinical, psychiatric, diagnostic or cognitive ability assessment, and it should not be used as the sole basis for high-stakes employment decisions including hiring, promotion or capability judgments. Where assessment information contributes to such a decision, it should sit alongside structured interviews, work-sample evidence, performance data and professional judgment — never as a standalone source.

Can we see the Technical Manual?

The full Discflow 2.0 Technical Manual is available to qualified users and accredited practitioners on request, and the headline evidence is published openly.

Where is our data held and how is it protected?

FlowConnect is built on Azure OpenAI and customer data is not used to train models. Our security position, data protection documentation and the DPA suite are set out on the trust page.

Who sees an individual's report?

The person who completed the assessment always receives their own report. For Flow360, ratings are aggregated by group so a leader cannot identify who said what.

Particularly if it is a security questionnaire, a procurement requirement or a psychometric question — those get routed to whoever can actually answer them rather than to a form.
